OPPO has now revealed that it will launch the Find N as its inaugural foldable smartphone. The OEM will make it available to view, albeit virtually, on its 'immersive', game-like INNO World website as part of its ongoing major product event on December 15, 2021.
In the meantime, Korean industry blog TheElec claims to have more insight as to how this first-gen device came to be. The outlet asserts that the Find N has a 7.1-inch main OLED display sourced from Samsung. This panel confers the phablet's rumored LTPO, 120Hz refresh rate and ultra-thin glass protective specs.
However, the Find N's secondary display, now slated to be 5.5 inches in diagonal length, is not also from Samsung, but from BOE instead. This new detail might help confirm leaks hinting at a shorter, more square form-factor compared to that of the Galaxy Z Fold3.
Nevertheless, the 'new N' might well find its fans, particularly in China as it may launch as the first 'native' foldable phablet with LTPO technology. Then again, Xiaomi is now slated to catch up soon with its second-gen Mix Fold, also tipped to benefit from Samsung's OLED.
